Last year, during their session, Matthew busted out this AWESOME tattoo…..so for this year we had to mix it up……this one is a keeper!!
My Fall mini sessions this year were SOOOO much fun. I love watching my clients’ families grow, and meeting new ones. 🙂
From Crump Park to Carter’s Mountain, I was a traveling fool this week, plus a wedding on top on it.
I love both places for the scenery and the Fall feel. Although Carter’s Mountain is a bit cooler due to altitude, which I will remember for next year.
A HUGE thank you to all that I got to spend time with during this weekend, I catching up with every one.
I met Ashley and Otto earlier this year after lots of emails back and forth between myself and Ashley. I couldn’t wait to meet this young couple so in love, and she was so excited to work with me as she had followed my work for awhile (huge compliment from her 🙂 yes it made me blush). They are set to tie the knot in May of 2014, and decided to do their engagements during the peak of Fall, and how perfect this morning was minus the cold.
The morning of their engagements may have been one of the coldest days yet, but Ashley still rocked a dress and still managed to give the camera superb model face without shivering. A huge kudos to her too was that she has just gotten off a 13 hour shift from work over night, she’s a total rock star!!!
I met Miss Haizel last year, a cute sassy little blonde head. Last year was a lot warmer then this year on the day we did her photos, but Amber and Haizel handled their session outside like champs. Since it was peak season for perfect bright fall colors I chose a gorgeous tree to do their session under. The clouds this day was perfect as well.
We had time to capture quite a few Mommy & Haizel images that I am in LOVE with!!! Then we let Haizel ‘smash’ her cake, which was more of her just eating the dots and icing. 🙂
This year I wanted to offer more than just studio sessions for Christmas pictures. I wanted something fun and not so posed. I know I personally want my Christmas pictures in a Christmas tree farm, so I thought why not offer these to my clients.
Here it is y’all. I called around to quite a few farms in the surrounding area, and this farm is family owned and the owners are the sweetest, and super sweet for allowing me to use it this fall and winter.
Check out my first session with close friend that I consider family, Sammi and Chase.
When I first met Rikki earlier this year she was so excited to start planning her August 2014 wedding. She brought her wedding planner to her consultation and we discussed a lot of wedding details. As in life things change, Rikki and Steven decided to move their date to be husband and wife in 2013.
We had about 6 weeks to get bridals and engagement pictures done before the big date. BIG GASP for my photog friends. We managed to work out our schedules to have both during the same week, talk about crunch time. Their Engagement Session was two days after this gorgeous bridal session.
I have to give a HUGE thank you to Cooper Vineyards and Little Page Inn for allowing us to use their venues on a short notice.
……she decided cake was ok…..
This year was my first year of doing any sessions at a pumpkin patch. I must say I am in love. I love the fall feel of pumpkins, and how kids can just have fun and be a kid. I choose Ashland Berry Farm as the location because the pumpkin patch is rather large, and can provide some privacy. On the day of these minis, it did not feel like fall at all. It was HOT! But my clients were troopers, and I had so much fun with each session.
Here is a little sneak peek at my pumpkin patch mini day. 🙂
