A mountain maternity session l Greene, Va Family Photographer

I have really loved these last couple of years getting to know Amber and Haizel better. When Amber first contacted me to do a pregnancy announcement shoot, I could see the glow on her face. There was a change about her……she was happy and it showed. At their gender reveal and meeting Brandon, I knew exactly why. Y’all are awesome as a couple, and I know this little girl will grace your presence soon and be loved above and beyond by you two!!!
The morning of their maternity session was a cold and brisk one. I made the long drive up to sky line drive in Greene county where we passed many deer and gorgeous gorgeous over looks. I have a small obsession with nature and the mountains so this was perfect for me as well for a change of scenery. My favorite part of the day was Haizel asking “where is crystal going?” As previously she has been rather shy, and I love when kids start to open up and feel comfortable around me, even with a big camera pointing at them making weird noises. πŸ™‚
EEEEKKKK How cute is she, and this was the first shot?????
And she made her leg girlie just like mom, without me asking her…..total cuteness overload!
I think I can say Haizel is a little excited for a baby sister!
Amber you are just too cute with this baby bump!!!
 Absolutely LOVED this rock wall.
 I love their LOVE!!!

Marjorie and Matthew l Glen Allen, Va Family Photographer

I met Marjorie and Matthew about a year ago. They were new to the Louisa area, getting used to the country air and slow drivers. Quickly loving their love for one another, I hoped I would see them again this year. As I received a message from Marjorie for a couple session, I was ecstatic and couldn’t wait to see and capture their fun-filled love for one another.

Getting ahead of the game, both wanted to go ahead and take their ‘fall’ pictures before the Fall hit. Many know I love Crump Park for the country feel, but it does have that rustic Fall feel as well, and it was perfect for this love bird session. And we didn’t have to fight the cold wind this year…..WIN WIN!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE both Marjorie and Matthew’s laughs!!

Last year, during their session, Matthew busted out this AWESOME tattoo…..so for this year we had to mix it up……this one is a keeper!!

Sneak peek to Fall minis l Richmond, Louisa, Charlottesville, Va Family Photographer

My Fall mini sessions this year were SOOOO much fun. I love watching my clients’ families grow, and meeting new ones. πŸ™‚

From Crump Park to Carter’s Mountain, I was a traveling fool this week, plus a wedding on top on it.
I love both places for the scenery and the Fall feel. Although Carter’s Mountain is a bit cooler due to altitude, which I will remember for next year.

A HUGE thank you to all that I got to spend time with during this weekend, I catching up with every one.

Love watching Mister Brantley grow in pictures πŸ™‚

 FAV!!!!

This is Leanne and Mark’s third or forth Fall mini session with me, I look forward to seeing them every year, including Oliver. πŸ™‚ Love the flannel this year Leanne.

I call this real life during a photo session with a toddler πŸ™‚

Hayden has grown up so much since the last time I saw him.

Sometimes you just have to let life happen during a session….

Now this is the ham I know πŸ™‚
Such a cutie, with his big blue eyes!

Ashley and Otto Engaged l Richmond, Va Wedding Photographer

I met Ashley and Otto earlier this year after lots of emails back and forth between myself and Ashley. I couldn’t wait to meet this young couple so in love, and she was so excited to work with me as she had followed my work for awhile (huge compliment from her πŸ™‚ yes it made me blush). They are set to tie the knot in May of 2014, and decided to do their engagements during the peak of Fall, and how perfect this morning was minus the cold.

The morning of their engagements may have been one of the coldest days yet, but Ashley still rocked a dress and still managed to give the camera superb model face without shivering. A huge kudos to her too was that she has just gotten off a 13 hour shift from work over night, she’s a total rock star!!!

Look at how cute they are!!!

 I LOVE capturing LOVE!!!!

Her eyes are to die for even in black and white!

 FAV!!!!

That’s right they are BOTH Redskins fans, no house divided here. πŸ™‚
AAAAWWWWW this totally makes me smile every time I see this image, so candid and perfect!

One last outfit change, I think this set is my favorite!!

 Ashley you are STUNNING!!
Even Otto has an awesome model face πŸ™‚

Haizel is TWO l Louisa, Va Family Photographer

I met Miss Haizel last year, a cute sassy little blonde head. Last year was a lot warmer then this year on the day we did her photos, but Amber and Haizel handled their session outside like champs. Since it was peak season for perfect bright fall colors I chose a gorgeous tree to do their session under. The clouds this day was perfect as well.

We had time to capture quite a few Mommy & Haizel images that I am in LOVE with!!! Then we let Haizel ‘smash’ her cake, which was more of her just eating the dots and icing. πŸ™‚

FAV!!

She wanted to share with mommy before taking first bite, precious!!!!

Christmas Tree Farm Sessions

This year I wanted to offer more than just studio sessions for Christmas pictures. I wanted something fun and not so posed. I know I personally want my Christmas pictures in a Christmas tree farm, so I thought why not offer these to my clients.

Here it is y’all. I called around to quite a few farms in the surrounding area, and this farm is family owned and the owners are the sweetest, and super sweet for allowing me to use it this fall and winter.

Check out my first session with close friend that I consider family, Sammi and Chase.

They brought family ornaments that have been passed down for a few generations, how cool right?!?
 Chase’s first Christmas ornament.

Grandma got Chase this book last year, and it actually has her voice recorded on it so its like Grandma is reading Twas the Night Before Christmas to him. πŸ™‚

Chase took this one of myself and Sammi. πŸ™‚
My gorgeous sister from another mister.

 Chase looking all grown up!

Rikki’s Bridals l Louisa, Va Wedding Photographer

When I first met Rikki earlier this year she was so excited to start planning her August 2014 wedding. She brought her wedding planner to her consultation and we discussed a lot of wedding details. As in life things change, Rikki and Steven decided to move their date to be husband and wife in 2013.

We had about 6 weeks to get bridals and engagement pictures done before the big date. BIG GASP for my photog friends. We managed to work out our schedules to have both during the same week, talk about crunch time. Their Engagement Session was two days after this gorgeous bridal session.

I have to give a HUGE thank you to Cooper Vineyards and Little Page Inn for allowing us to use their venues on a short notice.

 FAV!

Braelyn turns ONE l Louisa, Va Family Photographer

Miss Braelyn has turned one. This bright eyed, long eye lashed beauty was not a lover of the camera, but we got a few smiles out of her.
As y’all know I am a lover of many things, baby and kids eye lashes being one, a baby’s laugh being two, and cake……I mean who doesn’t love cake. This session had all of that. πŸ™‚ Braelyn’s Grandma’s house offered the perfect setting for her fall/ladybug/ princess style one year old session.

YUM Pumpkin!

OMG her smile!!! πŸ™‚

How adorable is this?!?!?!

Cake by Preston Gammon

She was a little unsure at first……

And then this happened……

……she decided cake was ok…..

I DIE over these eye lashes!!!!

YYYYYUUUUUMMMM!!!

FAV!

That tongue!!! πŸ™‚

I don’t judge, if it was socially accepted I would totally eat cake like this!  HEHEHEHE

And we are done….
It’s my party, I’ll cry if I want to.

Pumpkin Patch minis

This year was my first year of doing any sessions at a pumpkin patch. I must say I am in love. I love the fall feel of pumpkins, and how kids can just have fun and be a kid. I choose Ashland Berry Farm as the location because the pumpkin patch is rather large, and can provide some privacy. On the day of these minis, it did not feel like fall at all. It was HOT! But my clients were troopers, and I had so much fun with each session.

Here is a little sneak peek at my pumpkin patch mini day. πŸ™‚
